[EN] Anorak in the UK – Spring Tour

011513c_ImSpeaking_Final_web_transparentI have a plan for two or three celebrity tours in UK this year. Who is celeb? Of course me. And the plan is quite simple: speaking, talking, discussing. First part of my tour will start this week (on Friday early morning)  – code name Anorak’s Spring Tour. I will be available for all my fans and groupies in three locations:

>> First : SQL Saturday No 194 in Exeter | LINK #sqlsatexeter | March 9th | Jurys Inn Hotel Exeter, Western Way, Exeter, Devon, EX1 2DB, UK

It’a absolutely amazing that I have opportunity to speaking at another (and first for me this year) SQL Saturday. With many of fantastic speakers like: David Peter Hansen {@dphansen}, James Rowland-Jones {@jrowlandjones}, André Kamman {@AndreKamman}, Mark Pryce-Maher {@tsqltidy}, Denny Cherry {@mrdenny}, Mladen Prajdic {@MladenPrajdic}, James Boother {@JimmyBoo}, Mark Broadbent {@retracement}, Chris Testa-O’Neill {@ctesta_oneill}, John Martin {@SQLServerMonkey}, Neil Hambly {@Neil_Hambly} … WOW Really amazing SQL Professionals. The plan is simple – before my session will start, I have a lot of time for co-working with Annettee Allen {@Mrs_Fatherjack} and Thomas Rushton {@ThomasRushton} for community, organizing, packaging and so on. And of course: part of Evangelization of Community by Community.

I will present one of my favourite session: Welcome to the Licensing Nightmare in the last slot (4:00 PM).

>> Second : SQL Maiden Event in Maidenhead | LINK #sqlmaiden | March 12th | Quest Software (UK) Ltd. Ascott House, Maidenhead Office Park, Westacott Way, Maidenhead, SL6 3QQ

I was once in Quest HQ, with fantastic sessions by Jen Stirrup and Kevin Kline (whe he was Divine). This time I will be one of two speakers – the second is the host and my friend Richard Douglas {@SQRich} who work for Quest as System Consultant Specialist. Richard will present session about  Becouse MeetUp place is not exactly in Maidenhead (just 20 minutes by taxi – they are special taxi drivers near Railway Station) I’ve plan to go earlier to see Quest HQ. Will see what will be possible.

I will present next one of my favourite session: High Availability of SQL Server in the Context of SLA in the first slot (6:30 PM).

>> Third : SQL Midlands Event in Birmingham | LINK #sqlmidlands | March 14th | Wragge and Co LLP, 55 Colmore Row, Birmingham, B3 2AS

I have been once or twice in Birmingham, but only like an occasionally tourist. This time I’ve plan to sightseeing something new, and of course giving my session for another part of SQL Server User Group Community. The second guest for this meetup will be – well known famous speaker: James Rowland-Jones with interesting session: Thinking Big and Understanding PDW (Parallel Data Warehouse).  I don’t know where the venue exactly are, but I heard that good plece with very good pints of English Ale are really near. It’s very important point for my every visits.

I will present one of my newest session:  Maintenance Plans for Beginners in first slot (6:30 PM).

All session are free. No cost, no loosing time or money. Just get new knowledge, share ideas, meet new people, and discuss abou… SQL Server aspects.

Come to those events and ENJOY.
