[EN] SQL Server 2008 SP3 Cumulative Update 16 is available

LOGO__SQLServerW2K8reverseTwo weeks ago, two cumulative packages for two different SQL Server versions. This is the post about first of two. In this Cumulative Update No 16 (build no 10.00.5852.00) – I hope that is the last and highest number – for SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 3, Microsoft released… only two fixed bugs. Both for SQL Server Engine. Here are some deatails for this updates:

FIX: Operating system version information that is returned from SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2008 R2 or SQL Server 2012 is incorrect in Windows 8.1

VSTS BUG: 1988282 | 2927325
FIX: Thesaurus expansion for phrases returns unexpected results in SQL Server 2008

This update could be applied for: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 3, when used with:

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Integration Services
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Standard
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Web
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services

You may have to restart the computer after you apply this cumulative update.
