[EN] SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 3 Cumulative Update 9 is available

LOGO__SQLServer2008SP3On 21st January Microsoft released Cumulative Update No 9 for SQL Server 2008 with Service Pack 3. In this Cumulative Update 9 [version build 10.00.5829.00] resolved three bugs listed below and wchich could be applied for:

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 3
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Standard
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition for Small Business
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Developer
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Web
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express with Advanced Services
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Workgroup

FIX: Installation or upgrade process fails when you install or upgrade a SQL Server 2008 clustered instance on mount points

VSTS BUG: 1145633 | 2791745
FIX: Access violation when you run a query that contains many constant values in an IN clause in SQL Server 2008

VSTS BUG: 1113313 | 2780146
FIX: "Incorrect syntax near ‘IDENTITY_VALUE’" error when you try to decrypt data that is migrated from another database in SQL Server 2008 R2 or in SQL Server 2008
